In a matchup between the streaking Mavericks and the NBA record-leading Celtics, which team will come out on top?

NBA: Boston Celtics (53-13) at Dallas Mavericks (44-23)
Thursday Mar 20th, 8:00 pm ET, TNT

Richard (0-1)

Since acquiring Jason Kidd Dallas is 9-6, but have yet to beat a .500 or better team with Kidd in the lineup. Expect the trend to continue when they meet the Celtics tonight. Boston’s on a 3-game trek through Texas and packed all-star talent, veteran experience, and iron will as evidenced by Monday night’s come from behind victory (22 point deficit) against the defending champion Spurs. They also ended Houston's 22-game win streak on a Tuesday (in a 20-point rout) while Dallas was losing to a battered Lakers team. Boston is a grittier squad and steps up in the clutch (remember the House steal, Pierce pass, Allen 3-pointer against the Bobcats), so the Mavericks’ NBA 2nd-best 29-5 home record only provides the atmosphere for another Celtics 4th quarter talent show.
Rob (1-0)

While the Celtics boast the best record in the NBA and ended the Rockets streak, the Dallas Mavericks were starting to pick up the pace, winning their last 5 games in blow-out fashion before falling to the Lakers. After two emotional games by the Celtics, Boston is primed for a let down. The boys from Texas, however, are ready to rebound from their disappointing loss. Kidd's ball distribution, Terry's quickness, Howard's athleticism, and Dirk's overall dominance will prove too much for Celtics. The Celtics' tough road trip will prove too much for a team that has built its great record by feeding mostly off the weak, "Leastern" Conference. I expect a triple-double from Kidd, abusing Rondo and the elder Cassell, and a big Dallas win.
My Pick: Celtics 98 - Mavericks 93 My Pick: Mavericks 99 - Celtics 89

O.J. Mayo
G | USC | Huntington, WV.| Height: 6-5 | Weight: 200 lbs.

Arriving at USC with a reputation as a selfish player, Mayo has put to rest this criticism and has been nothing but the consummate good teammate. While just a freshman, Mayo has taken this young USC team on his back, leading them to big wins against UCLA and Stanford, and an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as a no. 6 seed. O.J. led USC with 21 points per game, and paced the ferocious USC defense with an average of 2 steals a game. Mayo is just starting to realize his potential, and will show the nation what he's made of when he takes on Kansas State and the other big name freshman, Michael Beasley. It will be a battle of the two of the most highly-touted freshman, and you can catch all the action today at 7:10pm Eastern on Jacked.

NBA: Seattle Supersonics (16-52) at Utah Jazz (45-24)
Saturday March 22nd, 9:00 pm ET, NBALP

Sonics, you last held an opponent under 100 points 15 games ago. It’s been 10 contests since you last notched a victory. The Nuggets put up 168 against you in your 52-point loss on Sunday! That’s almost mercy-rule worthy! It goes without saying, you need to start playing defense. Actually it doesn’t – Sonics; play defense! Oh, and the and the Jazz, with the best home record in the league (29-3), are coming up on your schedule. Good luck with that.
