NCAA: #3 Louisville Cardinals (26-8) vs #2 Tennessee Volunteers (31-4)
Thursday Mar 27th, 9:57 pm ET, CBS

Richard (1-1)

The Volunteers have never advanced further than the regional semifinals (1967, 1981, 2000, 2007) and haven’t ever beaten a No. 3 seed or higher in their NCAA tournament history. Louisville won their last 2 Sweet 16 appearances (1997, 2005) and can add 2008 to that list tonight. The Cardinals have managed a .575 field-goal percentage in their 2 tourney games and were .529 from behind the arc against Oklahoma. Combine that with the fact that the Vols don’t own the stingiest of defenses – while the Cards do (their 2-3 zone defense ranks 6th in the nation in field goal percentage defense) – and things look good for Rick Pitino and co. Louisville may not have a stone-cold shooter, but they have enough contributors in Padgett (11.4 ppg), Williams (11), Clark (10.9), and Smith (10.5) to finish off a Tennessee team that barely slipped past Butler last round.
Rob (1-1)

Boasting a 26-3 regular season record, the Volunteers are one of the top 3 teams in the country. Tennessee is a stop and pop type team that loves to run, with shooters such as the deadly Chris Lofton, who ranks ranks 7th on the all-time NCAA list with 961 three-pointers. The back-bone of the Volunteers are the Smiths: JaJuan, Tyler, and Ramar that are as athletic a threesome as there is in the NCAA tournament. While Louisville plays staunch defense with the bigs down low and rely on stopping opponents inside game, Tennessee needs no inside game, instead relying on its outside shooters and atheltic bigs to crash the boards. Tennessee struggeld to get by Butler, due to the inconsistent play of their main star, Lofton, but it is this columnists firm belief that Tennessee will come to play against Louisville, a team that has coasted so far throughout this tournament.
My Pick: Louisville 72 - Tennessee 65 My Pick: Tennessee 78 - Louisville 73

Baron Davis
PG | Golden State Warriors| Los Angeles, CA.| Height: 6-3 | Weight: 215 lbs.

An allstar snub, BD as he's known, has brought respectability back to the once down-trodden Warriors franchise. Baron is averaging 22 points, 5 boards, and 8 assists as the leader of the NBA's most fun team to watch.

Night in and night out, you can catch Baron jacking up threes, backing down his man to the hole, or firing off a brisk pass to his teamates. Baron was instrumental in the Warrior's playoff upset of the #1 seeded Dallas Mavericks last year, and this year is ready to lead his team even further into the playoffs.

Out of UCLA, Baron has put his critics to rest with his unselfish play and great team leadership. Watch Baron tonight as he takes on the young Portland Trailblazers in what most certainly will be a very entertaining battle.

Catch all the Warriors run and gun fun on Jacked.com.

NBA: Miami Heat (13-58) at Detroit Pistons (50-21)
Thursday Mar 27th, 8:00 pm ET, RTV, NBALP

The hottest thing in Miami these days is the Heat…Dancers. They’re currently in contention for the NBA’s most popular dance team. I know this because it’s the biggest news on their homepage; which is…interesting. The Heat have managed to clinch elimination from postseason contention in a conference where the 20-win Knicks officially still have a shot! And the Heat meet the 50-win Pistons tonight. But hey, even Miami wins a game every once in awhile (the Dolphins that is).
