Versus Adds Jacked SportsTop Widget Online

Versus, the cable sports network, has signed a deal with Jacked Inc. to use the interactive broadcast producer’s Jacked SportsTop widget during live Web sports broadcasts on Versus.com.

The deal covers live games from the NHL, college football and college basketball.

The Jacked SportsTop widget provides users with customizable information during live game play, including news, player statistics, photos and video, in addition to allowing viewers to chat with other fans. According to Versus, SportsTop users log on for an average of 25 minutes each time.

The interactive widget will be used during live NHL and Stanley Cup Web broadcasts, in addition to NCAA Pac-10, Big 12 and Mountain West college football and Mountain West college basketball games.

Jacked tested the technology with Versus during the network’s coverage of the 2008 Stanley Cups.

The deal also will allow advertisers to reach more active viewers through cross-platform ad integration opportunities.
