New Hires Bring Technology Innovation and Interactive TV Expertise to
Jacked’s Webtop Platform
SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Jacked, Inc.™ (www.jacked.com), the leading producer of interactive broadcasts, has announced two strategic hires. Anthony Schaller has been hired as CTO and EVP of product development, and will manage the technology and engineering, network operations, content and creative design of the company. Andy Castin joins Jacked as the new director of partner management and is responsible for the implementation of the Jacked SportsTop™ with co-brand partners, serving as a key leader in the company’s marketing and business development operations.

Anthony Schaller:
Schaller is a seasoned executive in the leadership of technology and product development with more than 25 years of experience in distributed systems, databases, transaction processing, digital media and media device design and search. He joins Jacked, Inc.™ from Nokia, where he was integral in creating, designing and delivering the first CPA mobile advertising solution for Nokia and other third party mobile devices. Prior to that, Schaller was SVP of Strategy Technology at Yahoo and worked for the CTO. He joined as part of the Overture acquisition by Yahoo, and was in charge of implementing an overall technology strategy for advertising systems, affiliate channels and technology requirements. Schaller has also served as CTO of RioPort and VP of Technology for Ticketmaster-CitySearch.
Schaller was a member of the Andrew Project at Carnegie Mellon, where he was responsible for the strategy and development of distributed, campus-wide information systems across a network of 6,000 workstations. He is also the author of several papers, presentations and reviews on subjects ranging from Search Technology to cross-platform advertising to distributed databases. Schaller graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Computer Science and Business Management, and completed his Computer Science Graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University.
Andy Castin:
Castin has a rich background in launching interactive TV applications. Prior to Jacked, he worked at NBC Universal implementing diverse interactive TV applications for NBC Sports, NBC News and NBC-owned stations. He established relationships with high-profile NBCU broadcast and cable divisions, third-party production companies, NBCU Media Works technologists and third-party technology partners to launch engaging interactive programs that created bonus broadcast content. This additional content was accessible via the Internet, on cell phones and across digital satellite and cable platforms, and offered coveted content for top events and sports leagues including the Olympics, Kentucky Derby, Notre Dame Football, Sunday Night Football and the PGA Tour.
Prior to NBC Universal, Castin spent seven years at ABC producing two-screen interactive applications for ABC Sports and ESPN, including large-scale ongoing and single events such as Monday Night Football, Sunday Night Football and Super Bowls XXXIV, XXXVII and XL. ABC was the first broadcast network to deploy live Web applications synchronous to broadcasts that included interactive fan content, interactive ads, stats, fantasy games, trivia and streaming audio and video. Castin’s team at ABC was nominated for several Interactive Emmy Awards, winning for Outstanding Achievement In Advanced Media Technology for JETIX Cards Live.
Castin graduated from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in Business.
